Khadi Cotton
Khadi Cotton is native to India and is spun at home by hand on a Charkra, the yarn is made from thin cotton thread (the kind you would use to sew a button) overspun to make a thick and thin yarn.
The yarn is soft but hard to knit or crochet with – although it is possible and gives a great texture! This yarn is perfect for art yarn and if you pop the skein in the washing machine in a laundry bag it will become very curly like noodle giving even more texture – this wont happen once its knitted/crocheted.
