Home of hand-dyed plant based yarns!

Based in Sheffield and established in 2019, VeganYarn.co.uk offer a range of plant-based, sustainably and ethically sourced fibers.

If you would like a colour or base you don’t see on the website, or need any advice on substituting a plant based yarn into your pattern please just get in touch via email or insta – we have many more yarns available in our stock cupboard than we have time to list on our website! We can also dye to your pattern to save you buying a full skein of each colour needed. We do not usually repeat colourways – once its gone its gone, but we can always try and do something similar – just ask!

Flash Sale – until Saturday at midnight!

All of our 4x100g Tencel Packs are currently only £35! The 4ply packs are perfect for the current stephen west MKAL, or we have our own MKAL and MCAL available for the DK packs which can be found on our patterns page.

Our Tencel is usually £14 per skein so grab yourself a bargain – below is a small selection or click on our sale tab for all the options available!

*Advent Announcement*

This year we have decided not to produce our regular sock yarn advent – but we have instead updated (and will continue to add more to) our sock yarn minis collection. Our sock yarn minis are available in 10g or 20g and you can buy them individually or chose from one of our pre made packs below.

If you purchase over £30 worth of mini skeins we will package them in one of our embroidered project bags made from Pineapple fabric – so if you choose to you can take one each day at random making your own advent – and if you buy now you’ll have forgotten what’s in there by December!

Our wool-free sock yarn is perfect for not only socks but any project where you need elasticity – for example hat brims, waist bands, crop tops or even swimwear! We sell it in 100g skeins which are great for a pair of socks, and 10g or 20g minis so you can add a contrasting heel and toe, or put together your own selection to make a lovely stripy pair. For socks 100g is usually enough, for examples of using the minis as a hat brim there are several options on our Patterns page.
