This beautiful soft pineapple yarn is handspun and approximately fingering weight. Suitable for clothing it softens more on washing.
We have a limited amount of this yarn dyed but plenty available so if you don’t see the colour or amount you need just get in touch and we can make it for you!
Our pineapple yarns is very similar to our thin seaweed and you can happily combine them in your projects.
Please note the pineapple yarn is also handspun in the same environment as other yarns and can pick up little extra bits (for example little bits of silver thread) as with our seaweed. These bits are easily pulled from the yarn or you can leave them in- we try to remove them as we process the yarn but some will remain. There can also be a hessian type smell to the yarn, this disappears on washing so is only really noticeable on our undyed pineapple as the dyed skeins have been washed a few times more.

Our pineapple is spun in an environment where saris are also spun and so can pick up extra bits of fiber giving it a slightly tweedy appearance like our thin seaweed.
Where skeins are not a full 100g, to work out how many meters they have simply multiply the grams by 3.5 and the result is how many meters are in the skein.
