What is a sock blank?

A sock blank is a knitted up skein of sock yarn that you unravel as you knit. Our sock blanks are a full 100g skein of our Eco Pleiades sock yarn knitted up double stranded, so as you unravel you can make 2 almost identical socks at the same time! Or if you don’t want to make 2 at a time you can simply ball up the second strand as you go ready for the second. You could even add one of our sock yarn mini skeins to give you contrasting cuffs or toes!

Pleiades wool free sock yarn is the ideal yarn for not only socks, but shawls accessories and garments too.  Due to the elastic content, this yarn holds it’s shape wonderfully and is great for items where you need that stretch.

This yarn blooms with washing, meaning it softens, and fills in gaps, so it gets softer, and hides stitch imperfections.
